Letter, 1858 Jan. 14, Education Department, Council Office, Downing Street, [London] to [Thomas Burbidge].

Clough writes that he was unable to see him again before his departure, saying he is "glad to hear how your new home promises for the future", and continuing, "Our Editor I am sorry to say does not [give] an affirmative answer as to the proposed articles -- Something however may, I think, come of it -- Meantime ... why should you not complete the subject of Arnold & Rugby & have it ready for another journal -- You said you had left a great part of the subject untouched -- It might even do for a book ..."
